TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — The Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation, Chuck Hoskin Jr., delivered his final State of the Nation Address.
In the speech, the chief spoke about his time in office and some of the things that his administration accomplished.
He talked about how his administration faced the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as efforts to revitalize the Cherokee language through various efforts.
The chief also talked about the remaining things he wanted to do while he was in the office.
“After building those drug addiction recovery centers, let’s keep going and build the first transitional living homes for those that are in recovery ready to reunite within family schools and work,” said Chief Hoskin.
The chief’s term runs out on August 14 of next year.
