SAND SPRINGS — Tulsa Police arrest a couple after they say the two ditched drugs and a dog while fleeing officers.
This past weekend, police were investigating a car burglary where a woman had her purse stolen at a gas station near 91st and Yale. Police watched security footage, and they say 42-year-old Mary Edwards was in a green Cadillac and stole the woman’s purse.
Using the Real Time Information Center, officers located the Cadillac, and they say Edwards threw a purse from the vehicle. They eventually caught up with the vehicle at 71st and Sheridan, but two suspects fled on foot, leaving behind a dog and some fentanyl.
The driver, 46-year-old Noah Pepera, and Edwards were both arrested on several charges, including burglary.
The dog was handed over to friends of the suspects.
