Earlier in the week, Tulsa Police responded to a call about a suspect in custody at Scheels near 71st and Memorial.
Police say the store’s asset protection staff caught 28-year-old Alexandra Byrd with hundreds of dollars in merchandise tucked away in her bag. Staff told police they recognized Byrd from past reported thefts, including other thefts where she wore the same wig.
Some of the stolen items included Nike athletic clothing, multiple Bluetooth speakers, and accessories.
Officers say they found the same wig in her bag, and she admitted to the numerous thefts. She was booked into the Tulsa County Jail for Organized Retail Crime and Larceny from a Retailer.
