OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — A ribbon-cutting was held today for a new building for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) field office in Oklahoma City.
Department of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin was there for the celebration and says he immediately noticed how nice the reception area in the new facility looks and says it’s important for the federal government to provide good customer service to people who are immigrating legally.
“It was absolutely beautiful, and that first impression means so much. It’s part of customer service, and you kept referring to people as your customers. In fact, through the entire walkthrough, everybody we spoke with said it’s the ‘customer’ and they are our customers,” Mullin said.
He had high praise for the workers and the role they also play in identifying illegal immigrants, including potential terrorists.
