STILLWATER, Okla. — A man has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of a teen back in 2023.
We reported that Quinlan Phipps was arrested and booked into the Payne County Jail in April 2024 and charged with the first-degree murder of Teedeenae “Jackson” Yearby. Remains were discovered through an operation involving the Stillwater Police Department, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Indian Affairs and Payne County Sheriff’s Office.
According to court documents Phipps pleaded guilty on September 25 to the first-degree murder charge as well as desecration of a human corpse.
Phipps was sentenced on October 1 to life for the first-degree murder charge and seven years for the desecration charge. The sentences will run concurrently.
