An alleged DUI driver ditched his truck while attempting to evade police officers.
This past weekend, a Tulsa Police Officer attempted to pull over a truck driving 25 miles over the speed limit near 34th and Garnett. Reports said when the officer turned on his lights, the Chevy Silverado took off and drove into an apartment complex.
Officers said the driver, 37-year-old Victor Trinidad, sped through the apartment parking lot before ditching the truck and running away. He was quickly taken into custody and booked into jail for several offenses, including aggravated DUI.
Reports said the truck had several open beer cans, and Trinidad showed signs of intoxication and refused all of the sobriety tests offered to him.
