Nearly 2,000 Oklahomans registered to vote online by the October 9 deadline, the Oklahoma State Election Board said.
1,906 people submitted an electronic voter registration form online, which is the highest number of registrations in a single day in 2026.
Some people reported issues with the online voter registration system on Friday. The Oklahoma State Election Board said that there was a brief communication issue between the online voter registration system and Service Oklahoma’s data.
After they discovered the issue, nearly 800 applications were successfully submitted.
“We appreciate our partners at Service Oklahoma and the Office of Management and Enterprise Services for their quick response in helping to resolve the issue,” Secretary of the State Election Board Paul Ziriax said. “We regret that there was a brief issue with the interface, but it appears to have had a minimal impact on voter registration applications. Literally, hundreds and hundreds of electronic applications were submitted after it was fixed.”
If anyone has issues using the online voter registration system, you can always submit a paper application in person or by mail to your County Election Board.
