The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office held a press conference over a court ruling and FLOCK cameras.

According to Tulsa County Sheriff Vic Regalado, on May 10 a deputy with Tulsa County stopped a car along Interstate 44 for a traffic violation.

Before the stop, the deputy used an automatic license plate reader to find where the car had been for the past 30 days, which led to deputies recovering 91 pounds of meth.

The U.S. The Attorney’s Office, however, is appealing a court ruling in relation to the case, which is being sent to the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Sheriff Regalado said he could not comment on the details of the initial stop, or the events that led to the seizure, out of respect to the appeals process and the court.

Regalado said that the validity of the stop was not in dispute and was legal, saying that the deputy acted within accordance with the department’s policy and procedure as well as state and federal law at the time of the stop.
