A woman was hit by a car this morning as she was walking across the street at 15th and Denver, resulting in serious injuries.
According to Tulsa Police, a woman in her 60s was crossing the street when a car turning left onto 15th Street struck her in the crosswalk.
A Tulsa County Sheriff’s deputy was among the first to arrive on scene and helped others tend to the woman. When EMSA and Tulsa Police Officers arrived, the woman was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. The car, a Toyota, sustained a broken windshield from the woman’s body.
The Gilcrease Division Traffic Unit is actively investigating the incident and reviewing any possible charges while also monitoring the woman’s injuries.
