Tulsa Police are investigating an auto-pedestrian fatality near downtown, but there might be more to the story.
Friday afternoon, a pedestrian was struck and killed by a box truck after he ran out into the road. Tulsa Police Captain Richard Meulenberg told KRMG the incident happened at 8th and Sheridan, and police shut down both north and southbound directions for the investigation.
Early in the investigation, police say it might not be a simple auto accident, and the pedestrian might have been chased into the road.
Meulenberg is asking the public’s help and said that if anyone saw someone chasing or hitting the victim, they should call (918)596-COPS.
