MUSKOGEE, Okla. — A Muskogee woman who was convicted of enabling sexual abuse and child neglect has been sentenced to life in prison.
Cherie Walker was previously found guilty to enabling child sexual abuse and six counts of felony child neglect after an 11-year-old girl in her care gave birth to a baby. According to court records, Cherie Walker was sentenced to life in prison on all seven counts. The sentences will be served consecutively.
We reported that in August 2025 that the girl showed up to a local hospital after she had recently given birth at home. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation recevied results from a DNA test that revealed Cherie Walker’s husband, Dustin Walker, was the father of the baby.
