NORMAN, Okla. (KOKH) — Oklahoma has parted ways with offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle. The move comes less than 48 hours after the Sooners suffered a brutal42-25 home loss to South Carolina, where the offense stagnated to just three first-half points.
Arbuckle, 31, was hired ahead of the 2025 season from Washington State to revitalize Oklahoma’s offense.
Instead, the unit severely regressed this year, ranking near the bottom of the SEC in total offense and scoring.
This marks the second mid-season offensive coordinator firing under head coach Brent Venables, who also axed Seth Littrell during the 2024 campaign.
