“I could never fully capture who Mike was or everything he gave to others, but I can speak from the heart about the man I have known for the past 15 years. Mike served Mayes County tirelessly for nearly two decades, if not longer. He was a force. Funny, hardworking, smart and always willing to step in wherever he was needed. You knew when Mike was in the room, and he never met a stranger,” Mack said.

“He deployed across Oklahoma and out of state, showing up for communities in their hardest moments while raising a family, working multiple jobs and somehow still finding time to be a friend to everyone he met. Mike served as the northeast vice president of the Oklahoma Emergency Management Association for multiple years and poured into our profession.”

The City of Pryor Creek is honoring Dunham’s memory and recognizing his service to the city and county by flying all flags at half-staff through Tuesday.
