TULSA, Okla. — The Creek County Sheriff’s Office and the Humane Society of Tulsa seized dozens of animals after a warrant was served at a property near Mannford.
Humane Society of Tulsa said the search and seizure warrant was served near Highway 33 and Highway 48 on Sunday.
Dozens of dogs, cats, goats, birds and other animals were found living in deplorable conditions.
Deputies said a woman, identified as Marjorie Satterfield, 69, was arrested.

The Humane Society of Tulsa loaded up the animals and said there will be immediate donation needs, such as specific materials for the livestock.
According to the Creek County Sheriff’s Office, 59 animals were living in poor conditions and items found at the scene linked the property to “Marj the Dog Trainer” and “Glad Wags Service Sogs”.
Inside, dogs were found stacked in crates with little to no water containing dead bugs. A cat was found in a bathroom with litter boxes overflowing with feces and urine with bugs crawling over the floors and walls.
In a portable building, 22 dogs and a rooster were confined to stacked crates lined with moldy newspapers. Most animals lacked access to food or water.
Outside, emus, chickens, and goats were in pens where water bowls were frozen and food was nonexistent or moldy.
The Humane Society of Tulsa said all four goats on the property suffered frostbite on their ears and a cow was found with a deformed eye. They noted several welfare violations stating enclosures were too small for the number of animals and that many of the dogs were kept in plastic transportation crates not intended for full-time housing. Some of the dogs were unable to stand up inside the crates and 14 dogs were found with pinch collars.
The breakdown of animals seized were:
- 29 dogs and 4 cats
- 12 chickens, 2 roosters, and 1 guinea
- 2 emus
- 1 parrot and 2 small birds
- 1 cow and 1 horse
The Humane Society of Tulsa took possession of the animals and are currently treating them.
Satterfield faces 59 counts of animal cruelty.
