Bolivian national wanted by Interpol arrested in Tulsa for child sexual abuse material

TULSA, Okla. — The Department of Justice announced that a Bolivian national wanted by the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) who had been living in Tulsa was arrested for receiving, distributing and possessing child sexual abuse material.

According to the DOJ, 39-year-old Vismar Erick Atahuichi Alanoca has been charged with Recipient and Distribution of Child Pornography along with Possession Of or Access with Intent to View Child Pornography.

Court documents show that the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s Cybertipline received three reports from Facebook, stating that photos consistent with child sexual abuse material had been uploaded and shared by a Facebook user.

Following these reports, investigators obtained a search warrant and said they discovered Alanoca was in the possession of child sexual abuse material and accused him of messaging with another user on Facebook to request additional child abuse material.

As investigators continued to look into Alanoca, they said they discovered he was listed as one of INTERPOL’s wanted fugitives.

According to the DOJ, “The risk factors listed show that Alanoca has violent tendencies, is an escape risk, a sexually violent predator and is cautioned that he is a sex offender, specifically involving minors.”

Homeland Security Investigations is assigned to continue investigating this case.
