TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office is gearing up once again to see if you can beat them in a legal race.
Race a Cop is returning for its fourth year at the Tulsa Raceway Park and is inviting anyone to see if they can beat them in a contest of speed. They event is held to deter motorists from racing their vehicles on public streets and instead do it legally and under supervision.
The event is part of TCSO’s Community Policing Unit and hosted by them and the nonprofit organization Beat the Heat.
There will also be burn out competitions as well as prizes awarded to the day’s top winners.
The event will be held on April 4 at 11 a.m.
