Fire breaks out at Smoke in midtown

Tulsa firefighters were called to a report of smoke and flames around 12:30 Monday morning at SMOKE Restaurant on Cherry Street overnight.

A witness stopped to try and put the fire out in the flower bed when he saw a suspect leaving the scene.

The witnesses said they heard the man talk about how great the fire was, and they saw him throw something into the street that was already on fire.

Based on the description, police were able to track down Mark Goodwin and arrest him for obstruction and two outstanding warrants.

Police say he is not cooperating with the investigation.
