TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Fire Department battled a fire at a church in midtown Tuesday morning.
According to TFD, crews responded to a fire at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, near East 15th Street and Peoria just after 2 a.m. When crews arrived, there were flames coming from the roof. Firefighters quickly began battling the blaze.
The Disttrict Chief called for a second alarm as a precaution due to the potential of the fire spreading since the fire was already through the roof.
Firefighters were able to put out the fire, but stayed on scene for several hours to make sure all hot spots were put out.
TFD says no one was in the building when the fire occurred and no one was injured.
