Tulsa Police arrested a 19‑year‑old man Wednesday morning after they say he robbed a 12‑year‑old boy who was walking to school.

Officers say the child had just left the Maverik store at 61st and Mingo around 8:30 a.m. when the suspect, identified as Sanson Rachu, came up behind him and asked if he had a gun. When the boy said no, Rachu reached into his own back pocket as if he were armed and demanded the victim’s chain.

Police say the child handed it over, and Rachu walked south on Mingo.
