Utility work prompts lane and street closures in downtown Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. — If you have plans to drive through downtown Tulsa on Monday, be sure to give yourself extra time to get to your destination. Crews will be doing utility work in the area.

Heavy Traffic Way and South Frisco Avenue, between West 1st Street and West 3rd Street, will be closed to traffic during construction. The center lane on West 1st Street will also be closed and the sidewalks along South Frisco Avenue will not be available.

These closures are expected to last through June 11. Crews will be working on a duct bank, and roadways will reopen once it is completed.

Drivers are asked to follow the posted signage for detours, be cautious while driving, and allow for extra travel time.
