Oklahoma Forestry Services said local fire officials alerted them that they’d noticed Terrel at the scene of several fires in the area.

Oklahoma Forestry Services then reached out to the ODAFF’s Investigative Services team for assistance in determining the cause of the fires and who may have set them if arson was involved.

ODAFF stated Terrell admitted to their team he’d started eight fires in the area, which are estimated to have burned over 400 acres.

Terrell was booked into the Custer County Jail and has been charged with eight counts of third degree arson and one count of pattern of criminal offenses after former conviction of a felony.
