WAGONER COUNTY, Okla. — A summary jury trial is now set in the civil rights case against Wagoner County Sheriff Chris Elliott and several deputies over the death of Jeffrey Krueger.
The case stems from a 2019 traffic stop in Wagoner County that ended in Krueger’s death. His family sued claiming deputies used excessive force and the others present did not intervene violating Krueger’s 4th Amendment rights.
A judge ruled those deputies are not protected by qualified immunity.
New court filings show that trial is scheduled for June 1 and 2 in Muskogee.
