TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Zoo has announced that a fourth African penguin chick hatched a month ago.
The first two chicks, Holly and Jolly, are now able to take part in the exhibit and the zoo has updated that Jolly is a male. Holly is a female.
The Zoo says they are still waiting on results for the third chick that was born in February. However they do say that chick #4 is indeed a female. They are both not out in public yet, but chick #3 has begun swimming lessons and chick #4 is learning through observation.
The Tulsa Zoo is very excited for the new pengui as African penguins are classified as being critically endangered.
