BAPD identify victims in apparent murder-suicide after two people found dead during welfare check

Broken Arrow Police have provided an update after two people were found dead in their home.

Broken Arrow Police say officers were called to a welfare check around 7:11 p.m. Wednesday in the 3500 block of East Fairmont Place. When they entered the home, officers found two adults dead inside.

After completing the on‑scene investigation, detectives say the case preliminarily appears to be a domestic‑related murder‑suicide. The victims have been identified as 50‑year‑old Dara Jennings and 58‑year‑old John Jennings.

Investigators are continuing follow‑up work, and the case remains active.

Police expressed condolences to the family, friends, and everyone affected, and emphasized the importance of seeking help if someone is experiencing domestic violence or concerned about a loved one.

Around 7:11 p.m. on Wednesday, officers said they were asked to conduct a welfare check at a home near East Fairmont Place and North 33rd Street.

Police said they found one man and one woman dead inside the house.

Investigators say they are gathering information about what occurred.

The department says there is no ongoing threat to the public.
