TULSA, Okla. – The National Weather Service says storms in the forecast for Saturday and Sunday have the potential to produce large hail and tornadoes.
Officials say Saturday’s storms will present an unstable environment that could lead to a significant weather threat across eastern Oklahoma.
Meteorologist Michael Bowlan says, “Depending on what happens Saturday into Saturday night, and how widespread convection is across the region, it will set the stage for
Sunday. A potentially more severe setup is possible during this time frame. ”
The National Weather Service says there is severe storm potential as supercells become possible each afternoon and evening.
Bowlin says large to very large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes will all be possible.
