BARTLESVILLE, Okla. — The Bartlesville Police Department has installed a new automated call tree for their non-emergency number with the goal of routing calls more effectively.
When calling the department’s non-emergency number, callers will hear an automated menu that will help direct them to the department they’re attempting to reach.
The new options are listed below:
- Dispatcher — For non-emergency assistance from a communications officer
- Detention Center — For jail-related inquiries
- Sheriff Administration — For Washington County Sheriff’s Office administrative matters
- Police Records — For reports, records requests and documentation
- Police Administration — For administrative or departmental questions
“We hope to eliminate some of the non-emergency calls that can tie up the E911 dispatchers,” said Bartlesville Police Department Captain Jay Hastings. “This update helps us keep emergency lines clear while still serving the public quickly and effectively.”
However, if you’re ever in an emergency situation, the department says it’s important to always dial 911.
For more information about the new call tree or other services offered by the police department, residents can reach out to the non-emergency number at 918-338-4001 and click “5” to be directed to Police Administration during regular business hours.
