Officer-involved shooting in Sapulpa ends in non-life-threatening injury

SAPULPA, Okla.  – Sapulpa Police Captain Mike Sole tells KRMG that around 8 a.m. today, officers got a call about a possible stolen car in the parking lot of the Garden Park Apartments, located near the 200 block of North Hickory.

Sole says when they arrived, a man exited the car and raised a gun at officers. They shot the suspect and immediately rendered aid until EMSA could arrive.

The suspect, who has not been identified, was shot in the arm and did not receive any life-threatening injuries.

Sole did not know if the suspect fired his weapon, but no officers were injured in the shooting. He also said they believe the car and the gun were both stolen.
