WAGONER COUNTY, Okla. — A man is dead following a crash on the Muskogee Turnpike in Wagoner County Thursday morning.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, just after 5:30 a.m. both drivers, one in a car and the other on a motorcycle, were traveling northbound on the turnpike.
The driver of the car says the motorcycle was ahead of them when they stopped suddenly in the outside lane, causing the car to hit the back of the motorcycle, knocking off the driver.
The operator was identified as 57-year-old Thomas Pless, of Wagoner. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No one else was injured in the crash.
