TULSA, Okla. — A shooting at a food mart on East Mohawk Boulevard has left one man injured.
Tulsa Police Department officers were called to the scene of the shooting at 205 E. Mohawk Boulevard around 8:15 a.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man near a dumpster with a gunshot wound to his hip.
According to officers, a man entered Naife’s Food Mart and requested someone the store owner did not know, then left the store before returning with a machete.
The store owner told officers the suspect went behind the counter and attacked him with the machete, hitting him in the shoulder.
The store owner fired one shot, striking the suspect who then fled the store.
The suspect was taken to the hospital.
Charges are yet to be determined.
