Several Good Samaritans stepped in to help a woman who was trying to help someone who needed a ride.

This past weekend, Tulsa Police responded to the QuikTrip near 21st and 129th East Avenue for the robbery of a 64-year-old woman who had just been attacked by someone she attempted to help.

The victim told police she had agreed to give 25-year-old Briaunna Wright a ride from Plaza Hills East apartments, but Wright started acting aggressively in the car, so the victim pulled over at the QuikTrip and told Wright to get out. Police say she took the victim’s purse and punched her, knocking her to the ground when she tried to take it back.

Reports say Wright attempted to steal the woman’s car, but bystanders stepped in and pulled her out. The Good Samaritans took back the victim’s wallet and keys, but Wright ran away.

Wright was located by officers and booked into the Tulsa County Jail for First-Degree Robbery.
