Tulsa Police responded to a burglary in progress yesterday evening at a residence in North Tulsa, where a suspect attempted to kidnap a child from her mother’s arms.

Officers tell KRMG that a mother and her three children were outside when 20-year-old Lilianna Gonzalez and two males approached them. The mother announced that she was calling the police, and the two males ran off.

That’s when Police said Gonzalez grabbed the 3-year-old child by the torso and legs and attempted to kidnap her. Fortunately, the mother held onto her child and wouldn’t let go.

Reports said Gonzalez then entered the home through an unlocked door, and children, ages 6 and 10, were inside. A K-9 officer was released into the home, and Gonzalez was located and bitten by the dog. She was treated and then transported to Tulsa County.

She was booked for first-degree burglary and attempted kidnapping.
