WAGONER COUNTY, Okla. — The Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Missouri man following an undercover investigation targeting people they say were seeking to exploit children.

According to the report, Philip A. Klonowski contacted a law enforcement decoy that was posing as a 14-year-old girl on May 30. Klonowski first contacted the decoy through the HUSH messaging app before moving the talks to Snapchat. He confirmed the decoy’s stated age of 14 before continuing.

Investigators say Klonowski repeatedly asked for photos and videos, including requests that involved the child’s clothing. He also engaged in sexually explicit conversation and discussed sexual interests. The investigation also showed that he started contact with another undercover decoy posing as a 15-year-old pregnant girl, and he also asked for photos and continued communications.

Klonowski was taken into custody on June 29 with the assistance of the Joplin Police Department. He was charged with engaging in sexual communication with a minor by use of technology. The sheriff’s office says additional charges may be considered as the investigation continues. Klonowski waived his extradition and was taken into custody by Wagoner County Investigators on July 3. He was then transported and booked into the Wagoner County Detention Center.
