Tulsa man accused of trying to meet minor for sex

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — An ongoing sting operation in Wagoner County, designed to catch people attempting to have sexual contact with children, has nabbed its fourth suspect in just the past few weeks.

The Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office says Cody Bearden of Tulsa, also known as Cody Bear, engaged in sexually explicit conversations online with their decoy, an undercover informant who was posing as a 15-year-old girl.

They say Bear arranged a meeting at the McDonald’s near 41st and 209th East Avenue in Broken Arrow, with the intention of having sex.

When he got there, they say deputies were waiting for him and he was arrested without incident on a complaint of Facilitating Sexual Conduct with a Minor.

They say the Creek Nation will be taking over the investigation, due to Bear’s tribal status.

Three other men – Randall Mukes, Philip Klonowski, and Michael Shuster – have been arrested in the same sting operation in recent weeks, accused of attempting to meet for sexual activity with what they thought were minors.
