TULSA, Okla. — Public Service Company of Oklahoma is sending roughly 370 linemen, foresters, and support staff to Texas to help with potential impacts from Tropical Storm Bertha.

Crews left for San Antonio Wednesday around 8 a.m. to help out PSO sister company AEP Texas.

“Crews are always willing and excited to go down and help. The lineman community is a very tight-knit community,” said Matt Rahn, PSO spokesperson.

As for Tulsa, plenty of crews are staying to take care of any local outages, said Rahn.

Crews will not only be working against the weather of Tropical Storm Bertha, but extreme temperatures as well.

“Being hydrated and staying safe is our number one priority for our crews. We want all of our guys to come back safe,” said Rahn.
