TULSA, Okla. — Gasoline prices keep creeping up in Tulsa, getting closer to $4 per gallon.
The price for regular unleaded at most Quik Trip and Maverik stations jumped to $3.89 a gallon, up 20 cents between Wednesday and Thursday.
That’s also up 54 cents from just a couple of weeks ago.
Both Brent Crude and West Texas Intermediate Crude oil prices are up, with Brent Crude topping the $100 per barrel threshold.
Analysts say the combination of uncertainty in the Strait of Hormuz, and the new problem with Houthi attacks on Saudi tankers in the Red Sea, is driving up prices.
