Tulsa Police Officers arrested a woman for a DUI with her teenager in the car.
This past weekend, Tulsa officers were called about a passed-out driver near the intersection of 36th and North Peoria. When police and paramedics arrived on the scene, 32-year-old Melissa Hughes started to wake up.
Police said her 13-year-old child was in the backseat, and an open bottle of tequila was lying on the floorboard. Reports said Hughes told officers she had a few shots earlier in the night, and she later failed field sobriety tests. She took the breathalyzer and posted a reading of nearly twice the legal limit at 0.15.
Officers said they also found a small handgun in the car.
She was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County Jail for: Child Endangerment, Aggravated DUI, and Transporting an Open Container.
