Johnson Park set to get $8.3 million in upgrades

TULSA, Okla. — The City of Tulsa Parks Department is holding a groundbreaking Friday at Johnson Park at 61st and Riverside, which is set to get an extreme makeover that includes roughly $8.3 million worth of improvements.

The City is adding four new pickleball courts, a covered basketball court, a new splash pad, a new baseball field, a new walking trail, and more.

Construction is set to start this month and is expected to take about one year.

The upgrades are funded mostly with Improve Our Tulsa bond money.
