No restroom access results in Tulsa salon shooting

On Monday, Tulsa Police say they responded to a “shots fired” call at a salon near 77th and Sheridan, where a man fired a single bullet into the building.

Reports said 36-year-old Damarion Taylor asked to use the salon’s restroom but was denied because they did not have a public restroom. Officers said Taylor left but opened the door and fired a single shot near five bystanders.

The bullet skimmed across the floor but did not hit anyone.

Officers caught up with Taylor a few blocks away and took him into custody without incident. Officers said they found a small handgun in Taylor’s waistband.

He was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County Jail for five counts of Assault & Battery with a Deadly Weapon and a protective order violation.
