According to reports, the fraudster granny who hit several Oklahoma banks is also wanted in Ohio and New York.
A woman who dresses like “Mama” from the 80s TV Show “Mama’s Family” first tried to defraud a bank in Owasso and then struck again in Skiatook a week later.
Police said in both fraud attempts, the suspect wore the same large clothing, oversized glasses, and bad gray wig. In Owasso, police say the suspect attempted to withdraw from someone else’s account, using fake identification, but left before any money exchanged hands.
The Skiatook incident was similar.
Police initially reported that the suspect might have frequented banks in other states. Now, detectives from Ohio and New York would like to speak with her, and it’s been recently reported that the woman attempted to defraud a bank in Bartlesville.
