Tulsa Police nab HVAC theft suspect

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Police say a man stole some HVAC equipment from a home construction site, before it could even be installed.

Police say the theft was reported last Friday at a jobsite near 15th and Lewis.

They say contractors arrived that morning and discovered that two furnaces and two coils, worth $3,800, that were still in the boxes and being stored inside the home, had been stolen.

Then on Monday, Police say they got word that 40-year-old Justin Lewis was trying to sell the stolen items to a supply company.

Police say the supply company arranged a fake buy to lure Lewis out, and he was arrested Tuesday.

He was booked into the Tulsa County Jail for Possession of Stolen Property AFCF (After Former Conviction of a Felony).
