TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department says two people are dead following a shooting at a business in north Tulsa.

According to TPD Officer Andre Baul, a call was received around 11 a.m. that two people were shot at a business near Pine and Garnett. When officers arrived on scene, one of the victims was already dead.

He says a group came to the business looking for a vehicle that had been repossessed. Two people went inside the business to speak with the owner when an altercation happened. One of the parties brought out a weapon followed by the owner of the business pulling out a weapon of their own. Shots were fired leaving two people shot. Baul says the person that was looking for the vehicle was struck in the arm. They then proceeded to go across the street until emergency responders arrived on scene.

Fire and EMSA treated the victim shot in the arm and transported them to the hospital. His condition at this time is unknown.

Emergency responders entered the business and transported the owner of the business to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Officer Baul says the investigation is currently ongoing and they are still attempting to gather footage from the scene and talk to witnesses.

“What we do know is there was a group that came,” says Officer Baul. “We don’t know exactly how many, the group that came up, was trying to retrieve that [repossessed] vehicle. We’re still trying to get the numbers. Some say it was four. Some say it was just three. We’re still trying to gather that right now.”

A vehicle across the street was also walled off with police tape. Officer Baul says the victim that was shot stayed in the vehicle until EMSA arrived on scene.

Baul says every party involved in the shooting has been detained.
