TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Police say what started as a conversation turned into a frightening ordeal for a local mom Tuesday inside the Walmart at 68th and Memorial.
They say the woman told them that around 5:00 p.m., a man walked up to her and talked briefly about her two kids, before he took her one-year-old child from her cart, put the child in his own cart, and then started to walk away.
They say she was able to take the child back and lock herself and her kids inside the store’s bathroom to call for help.
Police say Walmart employees removed the man from the store and called 911.
Police say they found the suspect, 50-year-old Marshall Dixon, sitting at a nearby bus stop.
They say when they questioned Dixon about the woman’s accusations, he said, “Yeah, I did that.”
Police say he was arrested and booked on a complaint of Kidnapping.
