OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) Executive Director David Jackson has announced his plan to retire. His last day will be June 30, 2027.
Jackson has been with OSSAA for 31 years and served as the executive director for 11.
“I have truly cherished my time at the OSSAA, Jackson said in a statement. “I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some outstanding people, and I feel incredibly blessed to have spent my career supporting education-based activities. It has been an honor to serve our member schools and the students of Oklahoma.”
Jackson joined the OSSAA in 1996 as an assistant director and later went on to serve as associate executive director before he was appointed executive director in 2016. He also served on the NFHS Board of Directors for three years and was the NFHS president for the 2018-2019 school year.
Jackson will still serve through the school year as the Board conducts a search for his replacement.
