Medications, middle fingers, and tribal status…
Tulsa Police say they took a man into custody who claimed to be immune from arrest because of his tribal status.
Thursday night after 9 p.m., officers say they saw a man in a Dodge Charger driving 100 miles an hour near HWY 169 and Pine, and they attempted to make a traffic stop. That’s when they said 54-year-old Daelon Jacobs slowed down and extended his middle finger before driving away. The pursuit was terminated for the safety of others on the road.
Thanks to the Real Time Information Center’s cameras, officers eventually caught up to him, and after a brief struggle, took Jacobs into custody.
Reports said he told them they had no jurisdiction over him because he was tribal.
Jacobs was contracted to deliver medications to hospice patients, and officers finished delivering the medications after he was arrested on three different charges — Endangering Others While Eluding a Police Officer, Obstruction, and Resisting.
