TULSA, Okla. — The Susan G. Komen Tulsa Race for the Cure is back to raise money for breast cancer.
The organization says they are bringing together survivors, those living with metastatic breast cancer, as well as allies for a “day of purpose and action”. They will be using the race to raise funds for livesaving research, expand support services, support public policy efforts and help to make sure every person facing breast cancer has access to care.
Komen says they are aiming to raise $232,000 at the Tulsa Race for the Cure this year. According to their registration page, nearly 1,300 people have signed up already and they have raised over $178,000.
The race is set for Saturday, September 26 at 7 a.m. at the River Spirit Casino Resort, located at 8330 Riverside Parkway. If you would like to register, you can go here.
