TULSA, Okla. — A truck driver was injured after her truck bed struck the overpass above them and separated from the vehicle on U.S. 169 and near Pine Street Wednesday afternoon.
Police report that a semi truck carrying gravel was driving southbound on the highway when the truck bed raised up and hit the bridge above it. The trailer then became separated from the truck.
The driver pulled off the road safely, but did sustain minor injuries during the incident. She was taken to the hospital to be looked at, but police say the injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is working to repair the road and the railroad company has been notified of the incident and is checking to make sure the structure was not damaged.
