WAGONER COUNTY, Okla. — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says there was a double fatal crash in Wagoner County Thursday on a rain-covered highway.
Troopers say a BMW was on Highway 69 around 12:49 p.m., about 3 miles north of Wagoner, when it lost control on the wet roadway, went across the center median, and crashed into a semi.
They say the driver, 63-year-old Paul Kurt Simmons and the passenger, 77-year-old Connie Johnson, both from Springfield, Missouri, were killed in the crash.
They say the semi driver was not hurt.
