TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Public Schools is set to become the home for Oklahoma’s first polytechnic high school.
On Monday, Tulsa Public Schools announced an expanded partnership with Tulsa Tech. This partnership will see Central High School become the home of the first polytechnic high school in the State of Oklahoma.
Through partnerships with Tulsa Tech and CareerTech, this new model will help “increase access to high-skill pathways” and give students the resources needed to transition seamlessly into the workforce and give them broader postsecondary options.
Students will be able to choose from health and emergency services, automotive and transportation, technology and infrastructure, and personal professional services tracks to study.
By offering these programs at Central High School, more TPS students will have access to Tulsa Tech opportunities, and the number of waitlists can be reduced.
