TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department responded to a rollover crash involving a dump truck near Turkey Mountain on Tuesday.
Officers were called to a crash just outside a Turkey Mountain parking lot on South Elwood Avenue around 10:30 a.m.
A dump truck was found tipped over on the side of the road and paramedics checked on the driver.
Police said the initial investigation suggests a driver leaving the parking lot started pulling onto South Elwood Avenue, and the southbound dump truck driver had to swerve out of the way to avoid crashing into the other vehicle.
The dump truck then flipped onto its side and spilled its load of dirt.
Police said the driver who pulled out into the road was cited for failing to yield.
