TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department said two women were arrested following a robbery of various cleaning supplies at a local Dollar General.
Around 6:30 p.m. on Monday, the department said they responded to a reported robbery at the Dollar General located near East 46th Street North and North Peoria Avenue.
At the scene, police said a Dollar General employee told them they saw one of the suspects putting cleaning supplies into a trash can before they fled through the front door.
The employee said they attempted to follow, but stated the suspect threatened to shoot them if they got any closer.
Authorities said the suspect put the stolen cleaning supplies inside the trunk of a white Buick being driven by the second suspect.
Police said they were able to track down the suspects’ car using advanced license plate reading cameras and pulled the suspects over near East Tecumseh Street and North College Avenue.
Authorities said both women were taken into custody and booked into the Tulsa County Jail.
The department said the first suspect, who is accused of stealing the supplies and threatening the employee, is set to face a charge of Robbery by Force or Fear After Former Conviction of a Felony and had a previous warrant against her for Organized Retail Crime.
Officers said the second suspect, who is accused of driving the getaway car, is set to face a charge of Accessory to a Felony.
